History can be mind-blowing, and I was mind-blown reading this book.

I think I stumbled upon not just an account of every Catholic pope and their papacy, but an entire history of Europe.

The fact we can see a semblance of ourselves in a civilization over two thousand years removed is incredible.

This has to be one of (if not the) definitive book about ancient Rome. If you only have time for one, it should be this one.

Another poignant read uncovering the chaos of the past. And one I just couldn’t put down.

Clearly, I was meant to read this book at this moment, and it happens to be a great one as well.
